WWE Royal Rumble 2015 Predictions

Royal Rumble 2015

I’m going to watch the Royal Rumble this Sunday and I’m looking forward to it. The Royal Rumble is my favourite event of the year along with Wrestlemania. Admittedly, I haven’t really been following it for the past year but I did get back into it when Daniel Bryan made his return. That and Sting making his first ever WWE appearance at Survivor Series…that was such a surreal moment. =)

Anyway, I decided to take this opportunity to share my predictions on what I think may happen…

Pre-Show.     New Day vs Cesaro, Tyson Kidd and Adam Rose

It may be short and sweet but I think the New Day will win. They’re popular with the crowd and from the audience point a view a win for the good guys will whet their appetite for the evening.

  1. The New Age Outlaws vs The Ascension

It’s nice to see Road Dogg and Billy Gunn again but I think the Ascension will win this match. It will be a good example on how the classic veterans put over the new generation and make them look strong in the tag team division. If the New Age Outlaws win then I think it will discredit the new and uprising tag team.

  1. The Usos vs The Miz and Damien Mizdow

I really want the Miz and Mizdow to win as I find them hilarious but I think the Usos will win. If the Ascension are going to go for the tag titles then the ideal place will be Wrestlemania. Since they appear to be bad guys they will need to face a tag team that’s probably popular, I.E., the Usos. With that reason in mind I think the Usos will win this match and keep hold of the titles at least when Wrestlemania comes.

  1. Paige and Natalya vs The Bella Twins

I think it would be cool if Paige and Natalya will win but I think it will be a win for the Bella Twins.

  1. John Cena vs Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar

Hmm… I have to say that this match is the hardest to call. I think any outcome of this match is likely. However, whatever happens, I do think that Brock Lesnar will lose the title… unless, he wins the match and the Undertaker makes a surprise entrance in the Royal Rumble, wins, and goes on to face Lesnar at Wrestlemania for the world title. Oh my, that would be some rematch. =D That would be an exciting outcome but I highly doubt that will happen. I can’t see Lesnar retaining his title.

My prediction is that either John Cena or Seth Rollins will win this match… anything could happen in this match. Cena could win the title and Rollins cashes his Money in the Bank. Or it could be that Cena wins and Rollins “cashes in” but doesn’t win the title as he is somehow thwarted by Sting.

  1. WWE Royal Rumble

In an ideal world, for me, Seth Rollins wins the title, Daniel Bryan wins the Rumble and they face each other at Wrestlemania 31 in the main event. I think that will be an amazing match. But… unfortunately, I can’t see that happening.

It seems like WWE wants to continue the feud between Bryan and Kane. I think Bryan will enter the Rumble and Kane (probably when eliminated) eliminates Bryan which continues the feud. They will either face each other at the following pay-per-view or at Wrestlemania 31.

Rusev could win the rumble and face Cena in the main event. Then it will be the whole USA versus Russia angle. I think if anyone is going to give Rusev his first loss it will be someone who won’t tap out to his Accolade, I.E, John Cena and Daniel Bryan. On this occasion I think it will be Cena.

Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns and Dean Amrbose are all good candidates too.

I like to see Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn in the rumble, even if they’re in the match for only a matter of minutes. Since Neville lost the NXT world title it could elevate him a push on the main WWE roster. I can see him having a great feud with either Wyatt or Amrbose. =)

It’d be great to see Scott Hall participate too. For many years I always wanted to see Scott Hall coming out to Razor Ramon’s music and enter the rumble. Since he appeared in the Raw Reunion episode perhaps there’s a chance that he’ll appear in the Royal Rumble too?

  1. Sting’s Future Involvement

I’m super excited that Sting has finally made his appearance in WWE.

I knew that he was part of the WWE system but I didn’t really think that I would see him in the actual WWE ring. His new theme is growing on me a little but I feel that they should have used his classic crow theme for his actual debut. His sudden appearance certainly caused a big impact but I still think they should have used his old theme for a short period. I wonder why he isn’t using his baseball bat. It’s his trademark weapon. Perhaps he’ll introduce it if or indeed when he faces Triple H?

It’s no secret that he wants to face the Undertaker but I think WWE are gearing him up to face Triple H. In the WWE 2K15 panel he said that he’d like to face Triple H as well. Since he keeps on thwarting Triple H’s schemes I think it could lead to a Wrestlemania match.

In an alternative ideal world it would be Seth Rollins vs Sting at Wrestlemania, Sting vs Triple at Summerslam and Sting vs Undertaker at next year’s Wrestlemania. However, it seems to me that Sting rather go up against wrestlers from his own generation (i.e., Triple H) rather than the younger generation.

So far I like the angle that they’re doing with Sting. He is being the vigilante who keeps on thwarting the Authority from getting their own way. It’s similar to the situation he was in when he was in the angle with the N.W.O. back in the WCW days. We know that he’s a vigilante and his “finger point” was clearly directed at Triple H, but it’s a matter of finding out why. I don’t want to guess why this might be but it makes me look forward to seeing Sting more. I highly anticipate that we will see Sting in the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. =)

Negativity to Positivity: Thinking Rationally

Mr Happy

Snow Tidings.^^/

I’m having a good start to the New Year. Unfortunately though my cold has come back, and I put that down to the fact that my home town has welcomed heaps of snow. It’s rather unfortunate as when I get a cold I tend to lack sleep and do a lot of over-thinking. In my case being unwell means not really thinking rationally.

I consider myself quite chilled and I can usually let things go and take each moment as it comes. However, when my body and mind is not functioning properly I do sometimes feel negative and re-visit past events which weren’t necessarily happy times. Sometimes it’s not necessarily re-visiting past events, it can be the little things that make me worry and feel negative, even if they’re not major issues.

Just now I was spoilt for choice which manga to read. I wanted to read all five at once and I wanted to watch anime as well, but I couldn’t decide what to do. Thus, I got myself a little worked up and was worrying unnecessarily. Worrying about this simple thing makes me worry about things that worried me in the past as well. It can be a recent worry or something from some time ago. Either way I tend to feel negative when I’m very tired and/or under the weather. I then worry because I’m sitting here and worry about worrying. Haha.

Normally I can think rationally but when I’m under the weather thinking rationally can be tough because my mind is not thinking straight. When I try to think rationally my mind gets really blurry because my mind is combating with many emotions and thoughts at once. Really, in this case, it’s easy to just try and force them out of your mind. But, I find that if I tell myself “don’t worry about it” I worry about it more because it’s still on my mind. Every little thing becomes a big deal.

But, even if the little things make me worry, it’s the little things that cheer me up. In this case, stuff like Non Non Biyori. I mentioned this anime heaps of times in previous blogs. I really do like this anime and I dare say that it’s probably my favourite anime of all time. If it isn’t then it’s definitely in my Top Five of my favourite anime. My feelings of watching Non Non for the first time is similar to the feelings of when I first watched Thomas the Tank Engine for the first time. I was simply excited when I heard that Seven Seas are going to publish Non Non this June and I can’t wait until it comes out.

Watching Non Non makes me forget about the little things that I’m worrying about. And gradually, those worries disappear. It’s not just Non Non that cheers me up, a bunch of little things cheer me up. I’m talking about drawing my comics, writing my story, reading manga and hanging out with my family. It doesn’t make me less dizzy but it does take the sting out of being under the weather. I feel relaxed when doing these things. Relaxing to me means being happy and focusing on things I like to do. And, I need to remind myself to go to bed early instead of staying up just for the sake of it. Haha.

 Non Non Biyori Wallpaper

My mission for now is to keep warm and keep enjoying myself. Publishing my book onto kindle is taking quite some time but I won’t worry about that. Feeling negative when you’re ill I think is natural and it can be difficult to get out of that slump… but it’s not impossible. =) I’m now going to go away and watch some Nisekoi. =D

The Acting World: Being Natural

acting

It’s show blog time!^^/

I always thought I wanted to be an actor, and I began to pursue the acting road when I was 14. I enjoyed performing at school and started to attend drama classes. Everyone in these drama classes I would refer to as ‘the normal people’. Back then I would refer to people, who didn’t have autism or additional needs like myself as ‘normal’. It was the time when I was very insecure about myself and lacked self-confidence. My confidence grew throughout the years and it skyrocketed in my last year at university.

My main weakness in the acting field, I think, was not being ‘natural’. Some people would often say to me, “it’s good, but try to be more natural,” and “you’re being too OTT.” Sometimes they told me through a joke and sometimes they told me this seriously. For the life of me I didn’t understand their constructive criticism when they told me to be more ‘natural’. What does being natural mean? Why am I being too over the top? In my eyes I was being natural. I knew the characters I had to play and tried to relate their feelings with my own. Yet, because I wasn’t being ‘natural’ I often have lost parts and roles.

I remember this specific task at university where I was asked to narrate. Again, I probably over acted whilst narrating. In my eyes, I needed to act since acting is part of performing. The role of narrating was eventually given to someone else and I was really disappointed by this. Why wasn’t I being natural? Because I thought I was. I just didn’t understand. Of course, it all hit me when I left university.

Basically I was never natural in certain roles due to my lack of experience in society. It’s mostly due to my lack of experience interacting with ‘the normal people’. I couldn’t relate to how ‘normal people’ think. I’ve never been in a romantic relationship, I never argued with anyone, I’ve never been in a fight, I’ve never been drunk, and the list goes on. It’s one thing to witness a dramatic scene on TV but since I never experienced that in real life, I couldn’t relate.

The only thing I could do really was comedy. I could relate to comedy as I enjoy it. I felt that I could make people laugh in a variety of ways. I like to think that I made people laugh without trying as I like to think that comedy is my forte in terms of acting. I enjoy making others laugh, whether it’s impersonating characters, re-acting scenes from comedy shows or performing my own sketches.

However, there was one serious part that I was natural at that wasn’t necessarily a comedy… it was when I starred in my very own auto-biography performance. I basically acted out myself when I was child and when I was growing up. I was just recalling my past experiences. I actually cried a couple of times during this performance and this was the first time that I genuinely cried. I intend to talk more about my auto-bio play at some point as there is a lot I would like to share. What I will say though is that this was probably my best ever performance that wasn’t necessarily a comedy one. It had a few comedy moments in it, albeit, not intentionally.

To date, the auto-biography performance was my last and it was most likely my best ever. =D

WILL I ACT AGAIN?

In all honesty, since my writing epiphany, I have no intention of pursuing acting as a career. That’s not to say I will never act again but I will never audition for a role.

If I were to act again it would have to be on my own terms. I would have to relate to the character strongly and I have to have 100% confidence that I will bring out the best in that character. Although, if you asked me to perform a Rowan Atkinson sketch then I would accept it in a heartbeat. Haha. The same applies to a superhero character… perhaps Iron Man. Wink, wink. 😉 I’m definitely not ruling out doing my auto-bio play again. I have better ideas on how to improve on it if I were to perform it again.

I understand from a ‘normal’ person’s point of view now and I’m pretty sure that if I re-visited all my past plays I would be able to do better in my roles. However, if you gave me a time machine and gave me that as an option, I wouldn’t do it. Learning is a wonderful thing. Sometimes it can take someone years to learn something, especially me. It might be ironic that I learnt what it means to be ‘natural’ when I’ve stopped pursuing acting, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. What’s meant to be is meant to be.

I do fancy the voice acting work though. I understand how to use my voice naturally… I just need to speak as myself. I don’t know how I want to pursue this but I’m currently practicing by reading books of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends and sharing them with people who enjoy listening to my style of narrating. =) I haven’t thought about it as a career or as a volunteering option but I’m enjoying it as a hobby. =D

THANKS FOR READING

Non Non Biyori Wallpaper

It’s been a slow and steady progress but I think that being in the acting field was the perfect direction to boost my confidence. Not only that but it gave me the opportunity to make friends with the right people. =D

And I just thought I mention that I no longer refer to ‘normal people’ as ‘normal people’ as I see them just like me, but with their own needs as an individual. I have used the term ‘normal people’ to explain things better. =)

High School DxD: Asia and Koneko’s Secret Contract!? Manga Review

Asia and Koneko Secret Contract Front Covetr

I’m now reviewing one of my many recent manga purchases. =D

  1. SYNOPSIS

Asia Argento, a former nun of the church, has been reincarnated into Rias Gremory’s bishop. Now she must grant the requests of her clients with the help of fellow devil and Rias’ rook, Koneko Toujou. Can these two devils grant the desired wishes of their clients or will the devil’s work prove too much for them to handle?

  1. REVIEW

WARNING: I MAY GIVE SPOILERS AWAY

The main series is not exactly serious like Attack on Titan but it’s not on the cheesy side either. For me High School DxD has the correct balance of humour, suspense, action and fanservice. In this spin-off it’s just plain humour and full of light-hearted cuteness.

I know that this is technically a spin-off but I feel like this could have easily happened in the main story. Since the protagonist is Issei it’s usually always from his point of view as the story mainly revolves around him. But in this story it revolves around Asia and it’s from her own point of view. This spin-off gives us the idea the sort of jobs Asia undertakes with the help of Koneko.

The art is impeccably cute and it especially highlights the demure and gentle personality of Asia. The art I think has that effect on all the characters. Usually I think Rias is hot but I just find her too cute in the story to think “hubba, hubba” and wail like a wolf. Haha. The front cover told me straight away that this was not going to be a serious story. Whilst it’s not overly serious I find it just as enjoyable as the main story.

I like it how Asia wears her habit. She seemed to have pretty much ditched this in the main story. But by wearing this in this particular manga it highlights her innocence more, since being reincarnated into a devil. I seem to think that all of this happened between Asia being revived and Riser’s introduction. Then again, this could have easily happened any time, but only after Asia was reincarnated into Rias’ bishop.

All the tasks are very simple and the system has similar principles to callisthenics where the clients would stamp on the devil’s piece of paper. Asia needs to get so many stamps and smiles so she can qualify as a devil. She may be fragile and gentle but she has shown that she is willing to go out of her comfort zone like dressing up in various outfits and performing in front of a group of children.

The fanservice was tamer then I expected but there were still cheeky moments in certain scenes, mostly in the hot springs chapter. It felt somewhat peculiar as Issei’s involvement was less frequent but I find it refreshing that the spotlight was on Asia. However, whilst he was just a supporting character he is still in her fantasy thoughts, so he’s still relevant in that manner.

  1. BONUS

There were a few 4-Koma[3] chapters and extra chapters that appear sporadically throughout this spin-off.

  1. CONCLUSION

This was very relaxing to read. This might be a spin-off but I feel that this could have easily have happened in the main story. The fanservice was much tamer then I thought it would be and the art was adorable. I nearly forgot that Koneko is the other main character of the story, and yet, I’ve been nattering about Asia all this time. Oh well!

I can read this hundreds of times and never tire of it. To me, this is a perfect spin-off of a perfect manga. =D

Feeling Lucky

Non Non Biyori Wallpaper

Good Tidings.^^/

It’s been an awfully long time since I attended a yoga class. It’s both due to the Christmas period and coming down with a cold. I’m going to yoga tomorrow for the first time and I’m feeling somewhat anxious. I enjoy yoga but because I’ve not been for a good while I started to feel anxious as it’s currently out of routine. However, this evening, I felt a sudden ray of happiness.

I was cleaning my room and I suddenly realised what a lucky life I have. Apart from the minor cold, I have good health. I have a nice family and good friends. I also have a bunch of manga and anime goodies, including drama CDs, manga, a few figures and a heap of Thomas the Tank Engine memorabilia. I also have a bunch of DVDs and blu-rays of Iron Man and Captain America. I have a bunch of games from Super Mario to Atelier Escha and Logy to Senran Kagura. I also have the Non Non Biyori calendar 2015, which I’m especially thankful about. =D

What I’m especially thankful for is my own creativity. I can draw any time, write any time, and come up with the next story as I see fit. I can also use this opportunity to write a bunch of haikus whenever I feel inspired. The world is my oyster when it comes to being creative. =D

What I’m trying to say is that sometimes when I become familiar with everyday life I sometimes forget that I’m in a very good position in life. I would have said that I probably take things for granted but I don’t take things for granted, I just forget how lucky I am. So, next time I’m I’m feeling anxious, which will always occur every time I go out, I will remind myself the life that I’m living. And that is a happy one. =)

  1. REVIEW

WARNING: I MAY GIVE SPOILERS AWAY

3.1. Technicolor Bathing Beauties

We have four colourful pages right at the beginning. None of which are relevant to the main plot. It’s interesting to note that the bathroom to Kimihito’s house has once again been modified for the sake of his liminal guests. It’s nice that they even have a bath for Suu, since she is technically still residing in Kimihito’s house illegally. Everyone in the story seems to have forgotten about that and accepted her without judgement. Including, I’m assuming, Ms Smith.

3.2. Chapter 19

Miia goes on a date once again with Kimihito, but with a catch… Mero has tagged along. Haha. I wonder if Mero had an ulterior motive to coming along or if she just fancied an outing with Miia and Mr Darling. An aquarium setting did set a good mood and vibe. I mentioned before that Miia is more relaxed if her ‘rivals’ are not present and I feel that this ‘fake’ date represents that. If it wasn’t for Mero, Miia could have smooched with Kimihito. It was rather humorous since Mero misread the mood and situation. Haha. I also learned that eels are actually fish, not serpent. It really does make me curious about Mero’s background. She got into the aquarium for free and she was a special guest on the dolphin show. =D

This is where the drama comes in… I was immediately suspicious and concerned when Miia went out with that… lizard person who turned out to be a Dragonet.[7] Haha. Tionishia, as cute as she is, I don’t think she was the ideal choice for bodyguard duties. She stands out far too much (due to her humongous physique) and took part in the patting of the dolphin. Haha.

Thankfully, Miia was saved, thanks to Kimihito and Mero. I didn’t know she [Drago] was a girl though. I felt that I should have known, given the nature and humour of this manga. The ending was like a light romcom. It was humorous when Kimihito used his jacket to wrap around Miia, but it was already drenched so it was useless. Haha. Buying that serpent pendant for her was a heart-warming moment. They looked like a nice couple in those couple of pages. They looked very natural together and lovey-dovey. I wonder why Mero looked down. It looks like that she’s having second thoughts about being his ‘mistress’. It will be interesting to see what’s going to happen with Mero in future chapters.^^/

By the way, after a few re-reads I noticed that in this chapter Mr Darling wore a T-Shirt that said “Twelve Beast” which is an obvious shout out to Okayado’s other manga, 12 Beast, which is released this coming April. =)

3.3. Chapter 20

I found this to be the funniest chapter of the book. Suu grows big, turning into a slimezilla if you will. This was a highlight for me. It was especially funny when Kimihito and Papi held onto her boobs as if their lives depended on it. I always wanted to see this kind of scene in a manga, and MonMusu delivered my wish. Haha. I’m not sure why Papi needed to hold on though, she can fly. Of course, there was only one way for Kii to shrink back in size and it had to happen in a… sensual way. Haha. Still, good for Kimihito though, he stepped up to the plate and delivered.

That bondage scene at the end… I have no words, only a loud chuckle. XD We found out that Kii is not the one who sent out the threatening letter to Kimihito. So far, we can eliminate Drago and Kii as suspects. At this point, I still think it will be a Dullahan.[8] Let’s see if I’m right. =)

It’s interesting to note that this is the first time that Miia has failed to appear in a chapter.

3.4. Chapter 21

And it’s Cerea’s turn to go out with Kimihito whilst Rachnera lurks behind the scenes. It seems like we have female pairings now, Miia and Mero, Papi and Suu and Cerea and Rachnee. In that regard, it was sort of predictable, but, no less humorous. It was funny to see Cerea gearing herself up in her actual knight’s armour, haha.

I felt a little sorry for Manako as it’s quite clear that she’s conscious of her one eye. I think it’s really cute and enchanting in its own way, but I can see why she would get insecure.

There have been many classical animal puns in this book, since it’s a MonMusu tradition, but my favourite came in this chapter. Cerea blasting the wild boar to save Kimihito, and his response: “Thanks. You really saved my bacon.” …amazing quote and timing. XD

I hate to see Cerea like that though, being insecure. Kimihito did all the right things and said all the right things to wash her insecurities away. She’s more at home when she’s in her knight mode but very awkward when it comes to being intimate. Still, I bet she’s amazing at preparing salads… the ending was most humorous. Miia and Papi didn’t want the salad so they used Suu as a garbage disposal. The other bondage scene was hilarious, Lilith is a masochist, it seems. XD

3.5. Chapter 22

Kimihito’s date with Tio and Zombina were cute and funny. Despite being a giant Tio is very feminine when it comes to personality and taste. It was a nice moment when Kimihito offered to adjust Tio’s dress through the art of sewing. He really is the epitome of the modern man and demonstrated his skills when he sewed Zombina’s hand back to her body. It’s quite evident that Zombina has never been treated like a “normal” girl before. Kimihito is having that effect on all of the liminal girls.

Then we have the date with Manako… I wouldn’t really call this a date but their interaction was nice. It seems that even in the pro office Manako is being victimised because of her one eyeball. It’s quite sad and I can imagine why she would be insecure. Some of the liminals are freakishly strong in various ways but I feel they’re more vulnerable than humans. I’m talking about psychological and confident damage and the likes of Miia, Manako and Zombina, it seems, have all been discriminated in one way or another.

Once again, thankfully, Kimihito breaks the mould and looked Manako straight in the face. This was followed by the person who “secretly” followed Mr Darling.

I was quite surprised that “D” turned out to be Doppel. I felt that I should have seen it coming. It’s interesting to note that Manako is so far the only person who refers to Kimihito by his real name, everyone else gives him a pet name. He received two more in this book. “Snookums” and “Loverboy”.

I was wrong in the end that the “D” represented Dullahan. However, a mysterious person appears right at the end! Then, it turns out that Doppel never wrote that second threatening letter. Then, we’re left at the end where the scythe of some kind was placed right in front of Kimihito’s neck. Eeek! I’m nervous but excited.

  1. BONUS

We learn some interesting facts about Polt and she features in one of the bonus chapters with the new “D” characters. I find her entertaining and I adore her enthusiasm. I’m glad she made a cameo. Speaking of extra chapters, there’s a 4-koma[9] chapter involving the MON squad and some fun facts about Manako’s suitcase gun. Despite what Zombina thinks, I think it’s a genius invention.

  1. CONCLUSION

We finally have a bit of a plot on our hands. It’s all exciting stuff. Dare I say that this is perhaps my favourite MonMusu book yet? Before, I thought the MON squad liminals were just ok. I didn’t give them much thought as I was enjoying reading about Miia and Mero, the main characters. However, they have really grown on me, especially after reading chapter 22.

All the minor suspense moments did get me nervous. I was convinced all the while that the mysterious “D” was a Dullahan. However, my theory was crushed when the D turned out to be Doppel. But, the true threat came in person… I’m 99% now that that person was a Dullahan. =D

All the girls, as expected through time, grew closer to Mr Darling. It’s still probably a bit premature to guess which route this story will go towards. All of his house guests are his potential brides to be, but, who is to say he’ll marry just one? If there’s a horse race (no pun intended) I would say that Miia and Cerea are probably in the lead. Why Miia? It’s because she genuinely seems to have a connection with Kimihito and we see this every time they go out, alone. Why Cerea? Well, she had a lot of moments of affection when she was dating, well, guarding Kimihito. Haha. That and she’s starting to help out with the food preparations, albeit, salads. Haha.

Just thought that I would mention as well, you can find clues in the chapter covers of which new characters will appear in certain chapters. I didn’t notice this until I re-read this book for the fifth time. In the cover of Chapter 22 you will see an emblem of some sort and writing underneath that says “Dullahan”. So yes, I’m 100% certain and correct. =D

It was wonderful to read and I will choose to give this, Two Thumb’s-Up.^^/ (My Rating System)

Two Thumbs-Up

  1. MONMUSU MISTAKE

I like to take this opportunity to admit a mistake. In my past reviews I stated that MonMusu was the acronym for Monster Musume. This is incorrect. The word I meant to use was actually ‘abbreviation’ not ‘acronym’. I knew what I was talking about but I got the words wrong, haha. I could take this opportunity to rectify the past MonMusu reviews, but I won’t. I want to see all of my blog writings as progress, and the past reviews to the current reviews will highlight that fact. =)

THANKS FOR READING

RA201310_pop_kinoko-cs5

I told myself that I wouldn’t really annotate much about MonMusu, but, I genuinely have a lot of say. I really enjoyed reading this and there’s a lot that I want to speak about. I decided that I will not keep the same style when reviewing each anime, manga and film. I will review them base on how much I have to say and want to say. =D

2015 is very peaceful so far. I’m spending most of the time just watching Football (it’s FA Cup week) and playing Senran Kagura: Bon Appetit. =D

Thanks for reading.
