High School DxD BorN Episode Three Thoughts

High School DxD Born

Since the beginning of the third High School DxD season I’ve seen a completely different side to Koneko.

Koneko has always been quiet but she hasn’t been so reserved that she has been lost in her own thoughts. So far I have seen Koneko who has been working too hard on her training and has been constantly losing focus. She has also doubted herself a lot as well. She even came to the conclusion that she is the weakest of Rias’ peerage. I disagree but when someone is lacking confidence to that degree I can see why. It’s all to do with her Nekomata powers which dwell inside her but she chooses not to use them.

She knows that her sister, Kuroka, is a criminal but she doesn’t have the heart to hate her as they are siblings. I think that’s natural and sweet. She’s been smiling a lot in this episode too. That’s certainly a rare sight to see, so I know that she’s happy. It’s no secret that Akeno loathes her Dad for whatever reason and I get the feeling that we will know more about her family’s past, and soon.

I really like Issei’s Balance Breaker Boosted Gear. It’s really cool and looks more like a dragon in appearance. All it took for him to transform was poking both Rias’ nipples. It’s incredibly daft but easy on the eye. Haha. I wonder why Kuroka waited for Issei to poke Rias’ nipples. Surely that would have been the ideal time to attack as both Issei and Rias were vulnerable and defenceless. Haha. Anyway… all’s well that ends well.

I did get a bit excited when Tannin came into the battle. He looked cool battling Son Goku like that. It was quite kickass. I didn’t realise that Tannin was the former Dragon King. I wonder if a current Dragon King exists or if they all became devils like Tannin or Boosted Gears like Ddraig. I enjoyed Issei’s battle with Kuroka too but I think he partly held back as he was aware that she is Koneko’s sister.

So far I like it how the Norse mythology is used in High School DxD. Odin is a character, Loki is a character and references to Valhalla and Ragnorak were used. I wonder if a character named Thor will appear. That would be cool. I’m somewhat familiar with the Norse mythology but I don’t recall Rossweisse, Odin’s bodyguard, being part of that mythology.

Speaking of Rossweisse, I think she is really cute and she looked proper dapper in that suit. So far she has struck me being someone who is serious but sensitive. I was actually going to say that she reminds me of Isuzu Sento from Amagi Brilliant Park, and coincidentally, they both share the same voice actor! How funny is that? =D

I was a bit confused at the beginning of this show when Rias mentioned Gods and Fallen Angels who were representing their own kind and mythologies. However, I think I’m beginning to understand how they are going to be used in this show. I’m sort of hoping that no new characters will be introduced for the time being as it’s a bit challenging to keep up. I know someone called Beezlebub made his appearance but I forgot what he looks like. Haha. =D

Xenovia Eyecatch

Speaking of Norse mythologies has reminded me of something very important- Avengers: Age of Ultron! It’s released 23rd April in the UK. I don’t cope well in large groups so I don’t think I will be going to watch it at the cinema straight away, but I am very keen to see it. I’m most looking forward to the appearance of Scarlett Witch and the kickass fight between Iron Man and Hulk. =D

Thanks for Reading. =)
