High School DxD BorN Anime Review

1. SYNOPSIS

High School DxD is back in the brand new sequel with the word “BorN” attached to the end of the title. Haha. Issei, Rias and the rest of the gang join this party which not only host devils, angels and fallen angels but the mythologies like the Norse too.

A new threat has emerged from this party and they are called the Chaos Brigade and Loki, from the Norse mythology and son of Odin is spearheading the vengeance and war against everyone who is relevant to the plot.

4. REVIEW

WARNING: I MAY GIVE SPOILERS AWAY

I think what I really liked about this series was the growth in certain characters, especially Akeno and Koneko. I think they really needed to grow as they were carrying a lot of weight on their shoulders, especially in family matters. Akeno resented her dad and didn’t want to use her Fallen Angel powers and Koneko didn’t want to use her Nekomata powers.

All of these problems were all family related. However, Issei helped them get over their problems and now Akeno is on amicable terms with her Dad and can unleash her Fallen Angel powers without restraint. Koneko now displays her cat ears and can use her Nekomata powers and has completely softened up with Issei, to the top where she sits on his lap and sleeps in the same bed as him. I think Koneko had more of a growth than Akeno did. In the previous season I did see a starting progress with Akeno being “accepted” for whom she is but the route is completed here. But, with Koneko, it seemed that she started and finished the progress all in this season.

I’m not sure if I would say that Issei and Rias grew as people but I am certain that their worries and doubt will make them move forward in the right direction. I view growth as how people get over their worries and self-doubt. In my case, I’m no longer self-conscious over the fact that I’m autistic, and since then, I’ve been living a life with no worries. In this case, Issei is over his “weakness” of worrying how girls perceive him and Rias is over the worry of Issei calling her by her real name… because he did. Even though that step was little in comparison to Issei’s, to her, it will feel like a big achievement. So, I deduce that they have in fact undergone humongous progress. =D

Issei also got over worrying about Raynare so that’s a major bonus for him.

I think my favourite moments in the show included the fights and when the ladies show their affection towards Issei. I got really pumped up every time Issei powered-up his Balance Breaker to beat the likes of Diodora and Shalba and tamed Loki with Thor’s hammer. He survived that dog’s attack thanks for Ravel’s Phoenix Tears. Her role in the anime was short but very significant. I hope to see more of her in the following season. My favourite fights included the one where they all fought Diodora and his Evil Pieces and where Issei fights Rias as he’s fighting to save her rather then beat her. That was a nice metaphor in my opinion.

The fights weren’t always serious, like the one before the fight against Diodora. Issei used his new Booblingual technique which allowed him to communicate with boobs… I never thought I would hear myself say that. Haha! I wonder if Issei can develop an advanced technique involving Boob Translation? I would most certainly like to see him go one step further.

I’m glad that all the girls managed to get their own time with Issei. Rias’ progress with him was the most significant in my eyes as it was a huge weight off her shoulders. I think it’s only a matter of time when she becomes Issei’s life partner. She shared a kiss with Issei as did Asia and Akeno. Issei’s date with Akeno was definitely one of my favourite moments in the show and I like how Koneko has become relaxed with Issei to the point of sitting and kneeling on his lap like a kitten. Xenovia had her moments with him every now and then.

Rias, Akeno, Asia and Koneko have all had character growths and progress with Issei in this season so I think Xenovia, Irina and possibly Rossweisse will get their chance in the next season. We haven’t really learned that much about Rossweisse except that she’s cool and has a cute ribbon at the side of her head. =)

I think the little things that I didn’t enjoy so much were the more intense parts of this show and the new characters being introduced. Things like the characters going berserk in battle, Asia being kidnapped, Issei going on a berserk and Rias being brainwashed and sent to the Dimensional Gap. Whilst I got pumped up at those moments I was also nervous. I couldn’t really keep up with all the new characters being introduced one after the other. I found that I couldn’t really remember who they were, expect Rossweisse. I remember Rossweisse straightaway because she is beautiful and nice. Haha.

I think Rossweisse is the best new character of this show. She is gracious and beautiful. I have no idea why she can’t land herself a man at the present time but the same can be said to all of the girls in this show. Then again, a lot of them are being reserved for Issei’s eventual harem so I like to think that’s why Rossweisse hasn’t found a man yet, because she is probably meant to be part of Issei’s harem.

I’m speaking with the assumption that Issei will get all the ladies by the end of the story but I’m more than certain that it will be a harem ending. We shall see. Oh, I really like Ross’ battle skills. I think Ross becoming Rias’ rook will be a blessing. Odin’s loss is Rias’ gain. =) I decided to call Rossweisse Ross now as typing her full name is giving my sore fingers. Haha.

High School DxD being High School DxD finished in a unique way… Issei appearing on a TV show singing with children the “Boob Dragon Song.” Haha. You have no idea how much I cracked up at that part. To me, that was a great way to end the show. It was light-hearted and fun. That and Issei woke up with all five girls in his bed. Being a devil is not all doom and gloom, just ask Issei. =)

5. CONCLUSION

I speculated for a while why the word “born” was part of the title. Was somebody going to be re-born? Was it a metaphor? Or, was it just a title with no hidden meaning? So far I choose to believe that it’s probably the latter as I can’t really relate the title to anything that has happened in this show.

High School DxD BorN Episode Twelve Thoughts

That fight was pretty intense. I kept on getting pumped up about Issei. In the end I’m glad that he managed to pull through and snap Rias back to reality. It was touching when he said that he loved her and it was especially touching when he shared a kiss with Rias. I was wondering there and then if they were an official couple in the series.

Alas, as soon as they left the Dimensional Gap they forgot everything that had happened. How convenient… I’m glad that Issei managed to beat the fake Issei in one blow. I wonder what happened to Loki? Did he get arrested once and for all? I’m glad that they managed to get out of that Dimensional Gap, and the Great Red, of all characters, led them to the right path.

Great Red looks pretty awesome but I do think that I would prefer him in 2D rather than 3D. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with his look in the anime but I do think he would look more natural if he had a 2D look rather than 3D.

I’m really happy for Rossweisse. I don’t think there’s any better place for her to be than in the same household as Issei. I actually thought that you have to be on the verge of dying to become an evil piece. However, Rossweisse became Rias’ rook of her own accord. People like Rias and Issei will appreciate her for who she is, much more than Odin. Odin doesn’t deserve to have her by his side. It makes sense that she joins the school as a teacher as she does seem pretty savvy when it comes to general knowledge.

I couldn’t stop laughing when Issei started to sing The Boob Dragon Song with the children. That is one unique way to make your TV debut. Haha! It’s more amusing that Sirzech, Azazel and Serafall were all part of the act. Well, Azazel wrote the lyrics, Sirzech did the music and Serafall did the choreography. I just knew Issei was going to make his TV debut like this but it’s still amusing nonetheless.

You know… I was just wondering what happened to Issei’s Mum and Dad. Were they just lounging around the home? Nope. Of course not. Rias sent them all around the world so they can “enjoy” themselves on their “holiday.” Haha. I still think it’s nice though as in that situation, everyone wins. It was nice to see that the parents think of Asia like their very own daughter, even if they were not blood related. That’s the way it should be. =D

I think Issei is on the right path to becoming the Harem King. It looks like that he has overcome the weakness in his heart. Now I think he can face all the ladies in his life with no worries or doubt. That and all the girls clearly have the hots for him. At some point he will have to make room for Irina and Rossweisse in his bed. Haha.

Speaking of Harems, I think there’s going to be a pecking order in this series now regarding Issei’s harem with his beautiful ladies. I think… Rias will be number one, Asia is number two, Akeno is number three, Koneko is number four and Xenovia is number five. I think Rias is going to be number one because I think she and Issei will be a couple and I think Akeno is going to be number three because I recall her saying that she doesn’t mind being Issei’s “number three.”

Back on topic-

Rias’ doubt has also disappeared now that Issei called her by her name. It’s just a shame that neither of them will remember their “moment” until a later date. I think it will be only a matter of time before they become a couple.

Lastly, I’m pleased that Issei and Asia have completed the three-legged race. I’m glad they won the race… well, I’m not sure if they actually won but I’m assuming that they did.

Overall, I really, really enjoyed this series. It had everything. The only thing that I didn’t enjoy as much was probably the more dramatic parts but everything else was really, really good. =)

High School DxD BorN Episode Eleven Thoughts

I still don’t really understand why or how Rias is being mind-controlled or is in a confused state, I just know that she is. However, she does look pretty cool in her own Balance Breaker armour. I think that shows how deep her feelings for Issei are, by wearing his own armour. I think there’s a metaphor there somewhere that her red hair is connected with Issei’s Sacred Gear. I’m not altogether sure what it is though.

Issei was looking at the prospect of fighting Rias all wrong. He’s not fighting to beat her he’s fighting to save her. Granted, his emotions and mind are in a confused state so he probably won’t think rationally. I’m glad he didn’t hesitate to save Rias. However, I do think it would have been cooler if he said something like, “If it means that I’m the enemy of the underworld and of the devils, then it’s a price to pay to save Rias and see her smile return.”

Alas, Issei will probably never think of a quote like that as Issei was just being Issei. Haha.
Is it really possible for a devil to become a Fallen Angel? Maybe Fallen Devils exist? They probably don’t as it doesn’t sound right. Haha. I wonder what Ajuka did to Issei. Did he give him a power-up? It’s probably something like that Fafnir object that protected Asia.

It’s nice to see Kuroka again. She clearly cares about Koneko even if she has become a criminal. I was really expecting a fight to break out but in this case there wasn’t enough time for Issei to duel with Vali and Kuroka.

I hope Issei and Rias make it back in time to the real world, that is, when they stop fighting.^^/

High School DxD BorN Episode Ten Thoughts

Asia’s Sacred Gear was pretty awesome to watch. Her abilities have certainly got stronger. I think her Sacred Gear is now in the form of that ring which randomly appeared on her finger. If it is, then I think it’s more than appropriate. =) The only thing that topped Asia’s healing ability was her sudden direct kiss to Issei. That was nice to see.

Poor Rias, it’s a shame to see her in that state. I thought it was a bit strange how Issei hugged Rias like that but then the scene switched to Issei and Asia doing their training. It all started to make sense.

Anyway, it looks like Loki made an Issei clone and that Issei clone had some sort of brain wash ability of some effect. So, maybe he kissed Rias or something like that and took her to the Dimensional Gap. I wondered if Loki was perhaps trying to kidnap Rias or use her for his own game but it seems like her just wanted her dead. That was why Loki created the Issei clone, in order to get her to the Dimensional Gap.

It’s starting to make sense to me why Issei was having those nightmares about Raynare. Perhaps he knew that the girls were getting close to him. Whilst Issei is enjoying the attention he probably has some self-doubt whether the girls like him or if they were just fooling around. The nightmares of Raynare or visions of Raynare have manifested since Loki places a curse on him, which increased his self-doubt and made him scared about how girls feel about him.

I think Rias’ insecurity and fear is about Issei. I’m not sure if she’s necessarily jealous of the other girls like Akeno and Asia but it seems like she wants to advance her relationship with Issei even further. Maybe she feels that she’s not keeping up with the other girls. She wants to be useful to Issei, just like how Asia was when she brought him back from a coma. Little did Rias realise though that she was the one who calmed Issei down and returned him to a normal state. A day will come when Issei’s relationship will go one further with Rias I’m sure, and I know the day will come when Issei calls her by her name, not by her title. =)

I’m now wondering about that black stuff that Orphis took out of Issei from the last episode. I thought that was the result of having nightmares of Raynare but now that I think about it I actually wonder if that was actually Loki’s curse. If that’s the case then my hat goes off to Orphis for helping Issei out.

I do feel sorry for Rossweisse. It’s no wonder she’s insecure of herself. She did play a big part in this episode, especially when Issei had an epiphany about his biggest fear. That came about when he was talking with Ross. I really wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up living in Issei’s house, there’s plenty of room in it I’m sure as the rest of the residents are sleeping in Issei’s bed. XD

High School DxD BorN Episode Nine Thoughts

So, it turns out that Asia was actually “killed” by this fella called Shalba Beelzebub. I got pumped up here when Issei went on that huge berserk and actually killed this Shalba chap. I didn’t really think Issei should kill anyone but I didn’t mind him killing Shalba as I do feel that he deserved it, especially as he killed Asia. He beat and killed Shalba but using the Divide Dividing that he borrowed or stole from Vali.

I was really concerned when Rias went after Issei in an attempt to calm him down and make him return to his original body. I was especially worried when he hit Rias. However, I did have my faith in her. I knew that if anyone was going to calm Issei down, it was going to be Rias. It looks like that it was her tears that touched his face and her sad voice that made Issei’s mind click. It was a lovely moment. Their hugs were nice too.

That new girl, Orphis, implied that there was some sort of dark matter magic that was sealed within Issei. It seems like it was that material that made Issei dream bad dreams of Raynare. It looks like that Orphis removed it and that was what helped Issei recognise Rias and return him to his normal state. All was well as Asia wasn’t really killed but somehow sent to that Dimensional Gap by teleportation. It was a good job Vali saved her and managed to supress Issei’s rage.

It does make me question Vali’s allegiance. I thought he was a villain but this episode suggests otherwise. It turns out that his true goal is to beat the Great Red, who lives in the Dimensional Gap. He looked pretty badass, I must say. He doesn’t seem to be interested in fighting though. He just ignored everyone and continued flying in that Dimensional Gap thing.

I was confused a little bit. Orphis’ true purpose is to bask in silence and if that’s the case why doesn’t she just seclude herself in the mountains with no one else around? Perhaps I misunderstood something.

I am getting confused at the new characters that keep on appearing and I found that I can’t remember their names. I can remember Rossweisse as she is pretty and she is nice who is rather insecure and sensitive about not having a boyfriend. I can’t understand why she can’t get a boyfriend as she is a beauty. Then again, the same can be said to all the other girls in the series but quite a lot of them will be with Issei in one way or another so they don’t count. Haha.

All ended well minus Issei’s arm. It looks like his Boosted Gear didn’t transform back completely.

High School DxD BorN Episode Eight Thoughts

Issei used some of his wits in the battle with the pawns and has shown that he doesn’t just rely on power. He said himself that he shouldn’t just rely on power. But… how can someone communicate with boobs? I then remind myself that this is High School DxD and no one can read the female minds, well, the boobs like Issei can. Haha. He looked like a competent leader too and dictated the battle due to boob-reading. Haha. What is that technique called? Booblingual I think. I.E., Boob Translation.

Xenovia kicked butt with her two swords. Issei giving her, well, lending her the Ascalon sword has really paved off. It does seem like the stronger the emotion the devil has, the stronger they get. It was true for the case of Akeno and Rias. Because Issei promised Akeno to take her out on a date she grew humongous motivation. Rias grey humongous power as well when she was bantering with Akeno and together they took down the Queen and two Bishops.  Good for them. It was a really good idea on Koneko’s part but I can’t help but fear for Issei. He’s going to have to deal with an excited Akeno and a jealous Rias when this whole ordeal is over. XD

Ugh, Freed is back. Why does he keep coming back? I know his appearance is significant and all but I still don’t like him. XD I thought he went through a humongous power up, yet, Kiba solo’d him. I did get pumped up when listening to Freed’s speech but got even more pumped up when Diodora gave his speech. I thought Freed was bad but Diodora is a really horrible individual. At least with Freed what you see is what you get but Diodora hid his evil side behind his smile.

I’m somewhat confused with Raynare’s involvement. Did Diodora make Raynare into a Fallen Angel or did he simply plan to kill her and give her power to Asia and make Asia his Bishop? It seems like he’s planned a lot of events even before the first season of High School DxD. I feel sorry for Asia on one hand but on the other hand I think everything has worked fine as she’s having a happy life with Issei and Rias. Anyway- I was really pleased when Issei literally beat the living snot out of him.

I did expect Diodora to put up a better fight seeing as he’s a King rank and all. Then again, maybe Issei’s anger gave him a huge power-up enough to beat any kind of King. I’m glad he didn’t kill Diodora as two wrongs never make a right. Issei proved to be the bigger man by not killing him.

And Asia kneels down and prays to God and no doubt she will get one of those electric shocks to the head. That appears to be an on-going gag in the show. But wait, a light shines over Asia and she disappears! What on earth was that! Issei and Rias busted their stomachs to save Asia and she just disappears? Maybe, just a little theory in my mind… Irina was a human but then became an angel. Perhaps, Asia grew a stronger holy power and has transported to Heaven and will eventually come back. But, maybe, she’ll become an angel instead of a re-incarnated devil.

I wonder when Asia will come back. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if Raynare actually comes back alive herself. It seems like she’s very important in this season and the more she keeps on being mentioned the more I think that she will come back alive. If she does I personally believe that she will be re-born as a better person. =)

High School DxD BorN Episode Seven Thoughts

Diodora is a rather uncaring man. He would have the audacity to trade his own bishops for Asia, all because he wants to claim her. In other words, he’s corrupt and selfish. I can’t imagine how his bishops must feel, it must have hurt them knowing that Diodora is willing to get rid of them from his own peerage. Disgraceful.

Odin’s skill and battle prowess is pretty wicked. Then again, that is to be expected as he is a Norse God. I wasn’t expecting him to be a perverted elderly man though. I was expecting him to be similar to the character Odin from the film, Thor. I suppose not all Odins can be the same.

I shook my head in discontent at how easily Asia was captured by Diodora. However, all is not lost as I have a feeling that Issei will save Asia just in time. I think he’s still holding onto the negative memory of when he couldn’t save Asia in time from dying. If he saves Asia from dying this time then he might be able to let the past go. Perhaps Diodora is going to try and defile Asia and Issei and co will arrive just in time.

When I think about it, Rias was going to go up against Diodora anyway in the first round of the Rating Game. Perhaps this battle will demonstrate which way the tide would turn if they actually faced each other in the Rating Game. However, Rias and her peerage will get an automatic bye as Diodora has been revealed to be an unkind man.

Kuroka has really cute eyes but I feel that Koneko’s are cuter. In a way I feel like Koneko is showing some personality as she’s becoming more relaxed and is happy with who she is. She’s especially relaxed around Issei and I’m pleased with how their friendship is blossoming into something greater and more touching. I think it’s really cute. =)

That little bout between Rias and Akeno was funny. I never would have thought Rias would have the nerve to get changed into a devil outfit and try to seduce Issei. I thought she wore those kinds of outfits only on battle cards. Haha. I knew she was very confident and has a bit of a sexual aura about her, but she tends to be awkward when it comes to Issei. I think this is a step up a ladder for her. It’s a win-win situation for Issei. He had both Rias and Akeno fighting over him and he touched Rias’ boob and Akeno’s nipple.

That was a smooth kiss on the cheek from Xenovia. I can’t say I ever saw that coming.

I wonder what this will mean if or when Issei gets his own peerage. Asia and Xenovia already declared their intentions of wanting to become part of his harem- ahem- peerage. Haha. I’m intrigued to see what would happen in his relationship with Rias. If he was King and had his own evil pieces, could he marry Rias if she’s still the king of her own peerage? Or, if Rias marries Issei will she become his Queen. Perhaps Issei could have more than one queen. Maybe the system wouldn’t apply and they could have their own peerage whilst married to each other.

What would have happened if Rias married Riser? Would Akeno, Koneko and Kiba become Riser’s evil pieces or will they remain as Rias’ evil pieces. Whatever happens though I’m pretty sure that Issei is going to have his own harem and Rias will somehow be involved, whether she’s his number one or not. =)

High School DxD BorN Episode Six Thoughts

When Kiryuu said that a new transfer student was joining Kuoh Academy I made a few predictions who I thought it was going to be. The first that came to my mind was Rossweisse. I dismissed her as I couldn’t really see what role she would play in Issei’s school life. Then, Ravel Phenex came to my mind. I dismissed her as I think, so far, she has less of a role in the story than Rossweisse. Then, it hit home…Irina! Of course it was going to be Irina. Why wasn’t she my first guess?

Ahem-

For some reason I’ve never trusted that Diodora. The way he saved Asia from falling, in his TV debit, seemed too coincidental. In this episode as well, he saved Asia from falling on her back side. I learned here that he harbours a huge obsession towards Asia.

It’s great that he is thankful that Asia saved him but it does make me wonder if he’s a bit too obsessive. He has his own peerage as well and I don’t know many Kings who act the way he does. I didn’t like him when he first appeared and my instinct about him was right. I wonder if that’s why he approached Asia and proposed to her. He knew that he was up against Rias in the first round of the rating game and knew that Asia was her bishop, so, he wanted to marry her because he didn’t want to face her in battle. Or, he’s just plain creepy. Haha. Issei shouldn’t worry as Asia has eyes for only for Issei.

I think I’m detecting more insecurity emitting from Rias. She decided spontaneously that she would destroy Asia’s letters because she saw Issei looking unhappy. It’s bound to happen though as Issei is gradually being surrounded by heaps of girls, and even Irina now is residing in his house. It also seems that Rossweisse is staying over. Poor Rossweisse… she got left behind because Odin forgot about her. It’s no wonder she’s lacking self-confidence as an individual.

I think it’s really sweet how Koneko can snuggle up to Issei and sit on his lap as if she was actually his precious pet. Akeno too, admits out loud that she fought as a half fallen angel. I think Koneko and Akeno have received great character developments in this third season, and it’s only been 6 episodes so far. I wonder if they will develop further. Well, they both ended up in Issei’s bed… I guess that could count as a development? …maybe. XD

So Irina is an Ace. All the angels are ranked by cards and all the devils are ranked by chess pieces. But when Irina said that she was an Ace… what does this mean? Depending on the card game the Ace can either be lower than a two or higher than a King. With the way Irina is describing herself you would think that the Ace is ranked higher than the Queen. I say higher than the Queen as the King of the angels, in this instance, would be Michael. I don’t think that Irina would be the type to make out that she’s something that she isn’t so I would venture a guess and say that the Ace is higher than the Queen.^^/

Poor Ddrag… going from a badass and most feared dragon to being named The Emperor of Breast Dragon and The Boob Dragon must be a huge slap in the face. I must admit that I literally cringed in embarrassment when that video was shown of Issei talking about boobs.

The ending was pretty humorous. It’s typical of Xenovia to trap Issei in the P.E. storage room and attempt an “affair” haha. She even dragged Asia along for the ride. Issei wanted to resist as Asia was involved but being the man that he is, resisting proved to be futile. Asia was pretty darn adorable at certain moments, especially when she was practicing the three legged race. What was most funny though was when Irina came storming in the P.E. storage room. I thought she would be more brutal, since she’s of the church and all, but she was thinking more about the hygiene of the place rather than the deed itself. Haha.

I wonder how long it will be until Xenovia invites herself to sleep in the same bed as Issei. Rias, Asia, Akeno and Koneko have all had their share and I think that it’s time that Xenovia joins in. It’s time for her to step up from the P.E. storage room to Issei’s very own bed. Haha.

High School DxD Born Episode Five Thoughts

Aww, I really wanted to see Rias go all out and knock Loki senseless. Oh well, she managed to calm down, as did everyone else. I was glad to see Issei back on his feet and Ravel’s present actually came in handy. I thought that was really clever. And hey, Issei managed to land a hit on Loki, albeit he got away.

I’m not really sure what happened to Issei and Rias as Loki disappeared. It’s like he casted something mysterious on them. It’s like something that they wouldn’t consciously remember, but absorbed. Hopefully I’m just imagining things and Loki didn’t cast a mind trick on them before he left.

It was rather cute when Koneko leaned on Issei’s lap like a little kitten.

The next scene was just as lovely too. Akeno went on a date with Issei. She really looks nice with her hair down. I enjoyed Akeno being flirty and innocent on her date with Issei but I also got a little emotional when Akeno spoke about her past. It seems like she blamed her Dad for not saving her Mum. It also made sense why she often wears Shrine Maiden clothes as her battle gear as it’s like a tribute to her mum. Still, it seems like she’s able to let her past go and can move forward. Heck, she even made a bento for her Dad. I never thought I would ever see that. Akeno kissing Issei was also endearing.

It was quite humorous when Rias and co stalked Issei and Akeno on their date. Their disguises were equally as funny. I’m not sure how Issei and Akeno were able to lose tail of Rias. If Rias really tried then I’m sure she’d find them in no time.

I reckon it will only be a matter of time before Rossweisse shows an interest in Issei. If the ending sing is anything to go by she’ll probably study the relationship of all the girls with Issei and use those “tips” to get a boyfriend. But during all that she will slowly but surely develop feelings for Issei. So far Issei and Rossweisse are just acquaintances but given time I think they will really hit it off.

Rias’ cousin looks really tough and cool and I think he will give Issei a really good fight. Does he have his own peerage I wonder? I can’t remember if this was revealed or not.

High School DxD BorN Episode Four Thoughts

Wow. This was such an exciting episode.

At the beginning when Rias said that the “seal” was breaking, I was like “eh? Did I miss something? Did I skip an episode by accident?” Turns out, it was just a little preview.

To me, this episode was all about Koneko and Akeno. They both accepted their own powers and strive to push forward, even if their powers have become a bad stigma from their past. I think they both looked great in their powered up forms. Akeno suits having black wings and Koneko suits the cat ears and cat tail look. I have to point out Irina as well. She looks literally angelic with those angel type wings. I never knew that she was reincarnated angel. Come to think of it… I actually don’t remember Irina dying in the previous series. Did I miss something? I think I really did miss something. What was I doing when that happened?

Anyway. It was a really good battle to watch. A few of them took on the big dogs whilst Rias, Sona and their Queens took on that big snake.

I thought it was cool that Soji got some good air time, up until now I forget he existed. Haha. I’m harsh but I can’t help the way I think. =D I sort of assumed that he wasn’t really that strong. However, it was good that he managed to bind Loki, even if it was for a short while.

When that Hammer came down I actually was waiting for Thor, the Marvel version, to come down with it. I figured that either Issei or Rossweisse would be capable to wield the hammer as a weapon. I was a bit shocked when that dog came out of nowhere and literally rendered Issei unconscious. Of course, this made all the girls; Akeno, Koneko, Xenovia and Irina go ballistic. Ironically, I think they did a lot more damage to the legendary monster than they did previously. No doubt that’s adrenaline.

It’s true in this case for Rias who looks like she’s undergoing a humongous power-up. I can’t wait for the next episode. =)

I never planned to share my thoughts about anime episode as regularly as I am. I just sort of started it with DanMachi and I grew into it. I’m actually really enjoying doing this. =) The whole point of me creating this blog site is to share my thoughts and how I cope with autism. However, I haven’t really got any news to share and I feel that I would be repeating myself if I keep talking about my past experiences. It’s refreshing to just keep sharing my thoughts on certain anime, and it has become an enjoyable hobby. =)

I did go to an impromptu barbecue recently and I handled that quite well. I did almost panic when I was asked on the spot but I ended up saying yes. I learned throughout my years when coping with autism that the anticipation of an event or an outing is much more nerve-racking than the actual experience. Sometimes I can cope, sometimes I can’t. It’s all about how I feel in the moment. In that moment, I felt ok to go. And I did. =)
